Concord

The town of Concord was originally named Musketaquid meaning “grassy plain,” is well known today from the “Concord Grape.” It is steeped in rich history starting with the Battle of Lexington and Concord and then han turned into a literary landmark with writers such as Henry David Thoreau and Louisa May Alcott having lived there.

Concord today has a town center that is still a primary destination for town residents. Replete with services, restaurants, shopping and the famous Colonial Inn which is rumored to be haunted. Similar to the towns in the immediate area, Concord has done a stellar job in preserving its environment from development of homes to commercial retailers. Whether you are in the town center or over in West Concord, you will find quaint retail shops in buildings that maintain their lovely historic charm.
